Wooden blocks spell "FAITH" on a wooden surface. Background has blurred scattered blocks. Warm tones evoke a calm, reflective mood.

I sit here on a rainy morning in October and reflect on my Faith.

By 'Faith' I mean faith in God. I mean authentic relationship with God. I mean walking with God.

The road of faith for me started when I was very young - God pursued me then and still pursues me now. There are several things along the way that helped shape my faith:

  • The decision to follow Christ - to be Baptized when I was only 12 as an insecure pre-teen and trying to start my life as a Believer.

Silhouette of a person standing against a colorful sunset sky, blending hues of blue, pink, and orange. The mood is serene and contemplative.
  • Mistakes of my teens - Too many to include all the details here, but it involved falling away from God for a period of time. Late in my teens is when I first got a 'taste for grace' and I knew that God was pursuing me.

  • Grace Awakening - through my time in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (both in undergrad at Kansas State and graduate school at Virginia Tech). People loving me regardless of my past sins and walking with my on the path of growing in Christ. God's grace permeated areas of my life and there were great examples of God's people offering me grace.

Famous landmarks on a globe blend into diverse landscapes under a sunny sky; airplanes soar above, suggesting world travel.

  • Living out my faith in the Business World - It includes being in 45 countries, doing business with others who are believers, business with many who are not. Stories of growth, friendship, betrayal, and grace fill this time of my life.

  • Living in Ukraine as a Missionary - so much of my life was shaped by this experience as I served the people of Ukraine. So much of my worldview was changed and developed by living as a foreigner for several years in Ukraine. I was even robbed by a police officer here who really helped shape my story.

  • Self Employment - This is where I am now and have been the majority of the last few years. It's a faith-building and a faith-growing process to serve others and serve others and serve God through owning my own team building, training, and coaching business.

I'll share details of these and many other things in the weeks and years to come. Stay tuned - God has done and will continue to do great things regardless of my limitations as a man....regardless of my mistakes. I'll share the good, the bad, and the ugly of it all.
